The 'Pictures for Palestine' collection grew from watching, listening, and feeling the weight of the news in the last two years. The paintings are gestures of solidarity made with the belief that art can bear witness, and raise money, to support those working to help Palestinians.

In 2024 90% of the Gazan population of 2.1 million people were displaced from their homes. Many were displaced more than once. According to the Costs of War Project at Brown University the US spent $17.9 billion on military aid to Israel in the year from October 2023.That’s why the Statue of Liberty and Joe Biden are cowering in the corner of the picture under the tents and rubble.

Heavy Going
In the summer 2025 the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation operated as an outsourced aid programme replacing the forcibly ejected UN programmes. Collecting aid became a dangerous task for near starving Palestinians.

Click the GIVE NOW button, this will take you to the message page – add your name and the title of the artwork and say that it is by artbyjaned. Add the amount and chose your method of payment..
This will take you to a summary of what you have entered. It will add a tip to justgiving. You can cancel or vary the tip by completing the “tip” boxes at the bottom of the page.
Take a screenshot of your receipt and send screen shot and the address to which you would like the artwork to be sent to me via the email address I will have provided to you.
